I know 100 names

Within a couple of weeks after my wife Robin and I moved from Philadelphia in May 2002, I knew the names of each of nearly 100 residents. I'm normally not good with names, and I believe my steep learning curve was a result of the high regard I have for each of our neighbors. We greatly enjoy each other’s company and freely share our knowledge, opinions, and energies. Our courses, seminars, concerts, and special interest groups are conducted at a high level with sophisticated content. We seek to attract diverse, interesting, and energetic individuals and couples who will contribute to the richness of our community.

Author : William S. Gaither, Ph.D., P.E.— I am an Indiana farm boy who learned civil engineering so that I could build ports and harbors around the world. I am proud to have founded a graduate college of marine studies, and before retiring, to have headed a major private university. Now I enjoy new activities with my friends and neighbors here in the Academy Village. These include conversations, sharing professional experiences, writing, reading, hiking, tennis, and soon to resume, long-distance bicycling.
